Detecting a fake admin is actually very easy. dotPoli site administration personel have the prefix "admin:" in their nicknames. Because the site does not allow symbols in nicknames, only a staff member can have a colon (":") in their nickname. If you are contacted by someone claiming to be a site administrator, please contact us immediately and let us know of the offense so that we can keep members safe from those with malicious intentions. dotPoli is a totally neutral participant in the political arena. We provide a safe place for open discussion on all politics, internationally, and we neither support nor endorse any political platform. All views and participants are always welcome, and we make every effort to make sure nobody is made to feel that a political agenda is being pressed on them by us. The short answer is 'no'. While we believe 100% in free speech, and maintaining a completely open forum for all points of view, we do believe there are some standards for decency that make the environment comfortable for everyone. So if you use profanity in your display name, it will probably be blocked by our system. Just because your nickname gets through when you sign up, doesn't necessarily mean you'll get to keep it. If an administrator notices you've made some effort to get around our filters, we will simply add the nickname to the list - and delete your account. |
